Today we headed off to the Lake District with mum and dad for mum’s birthday. It was also a good test of our equipment and practice for carrying heavy packs up steep hills. We parked in Keswick and caught the 78 bus up Borrowdale. We started in Rosthwaite and headed up towards dale head. The first couple of miles were steep and took us past old slate mines.
