Project Gná

Gná was Frigga’s swift messenger, mounted on her steed Hofvarpnir, would travel through fire and air, over land and sea, and was therefore considered the personification of the refreshing breeze. “

Following our successful 2650 mile thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2012, I have been itching for the next adventure. The world is a big place full of potential adventure and excitement. Having considered a number of options, I am pleased to announce ‘Project Gna’.  An unsupported crossing of Iceland from corner to corner.  It will cross volcanoes, glaciers, lava fields and barren landscapes. About 400 miles in length, it is shorter then the Pacific Crest Trail, but no less of an adventure. Much of it will be in remote areas with no trails or signs to follow, with hard terrain to cross, carrying everything we need to make it to the other side of the land of Vikings!

There will be more updates as we get closer to the start of the project…
