Loooong journey from blighty to the USA… But we made it. Not only that, all our luggage made it too, phew and yay!

20 hours of travel resulted in a sleepy bear and boy. Tristan (clear water) arrived to collect us at the airport with the trademark yellow pompom hanging out the car window! Barney (scout) & Sandy (Frodo) the trailangels we are staying with, have an incredible setup. They literally open up they home to hikers. This year 200 hikers will stay here!

We arrived at midnight half asleep but were made to feel welcome immediately. We thought we would have to set up our tent but were led to a comfortable bedroom. Plenty of time to get used to sleeping in a tent later…
